Children, Youth and Family Ministry
Parenting isn’t easy; it’s wonderful, but not easy. What’s more, raising a family in faith can be more than challenging at various points along a family’s journey. To this end we excitedly provide a comprehensive and dynamic family program that aims to support the spiritual development of children and youth, as well as providing support for parents and caregivers.
Our programs, which are all developmentally appropriate for ages ranging from toddlers through youth, are rooted in Scripture and the Reformed tradition. Children and Youth ministries aim to help our children and youth explore the story of God’s love for them and help them learn to express and live out their love for God. Parenting-specific educational ministries are also offered to support and equip parents and caregivers for the challenging job of raising a family today.
What’s more, because children and youth learn best with the support and influence of their families, we have implemented a still-new program that enables parents and children to learn together. Speficially, at various times through the year, families are invited to Sunday school together in order to explore various topics and “share in faith” together. Some of the year’s topics include communion, baptism, Scripture reading, mission work, and stewardship.
Our goal is to help families develop a language of faith, and find ways to discuss and live faith together at home on a daily basis rather than simply on Sunday morning.
