About The Event
Encouraging us to reclaim the lost art of biblical lament, these pastors and theologians model a powerful way to pour out the fear, shame, grief, and rage of racism as we cry out to God in prayer. In the process, we will be transformed and motivated to reclaim hope and to act for a world shaped by God’s inclusive vision of love and blessing.
Lament not a panacea, but a place to begin. We want to explore it, raise our awareness, and with others, learn to live ever more faithfully into God’s call. We CAN model the power of Christ that improves human relationships.
Attend one or more Tuesday evening sessions at 7pm from June 8 through July 13 at Trinity Presbyterian Church. We hope Lamenting Racism will generate spin-off conversations and risk-taking mission and service. Sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D4DADAC2BA1FFCF8-lamenting.
