About The Event
Join us again this year as we transform Black Friday, a national shopping phenomenon, into Bless Friday, a spirit-filled day of service. Bless Friday will be different this year to be sure as we struggle to find ways to serve God while adhering to social distancing protocols. Due to Covid safety concerns we will not be allowed to collect for food pantries this year, but there are still some things we can do. We will be making sack lunches and snack bags for Elijah’s Promise this year. Because of the mass unemployment due to Covid, food banks like Elijah’s Promise are facing an unprecedented surge in demand for food. Join us on Bless Friday. God uses our small offerings to impact a life in ways beyond our imagining.
· We will be packing at socially distanced tables in Kern Hall. Masks will of course be required
· This is a good activity for families, one family per table
· We will provide gloves and hair nets unless you prefer to wear a baseball cap
· Per CDC recommendations, Elijah’s Promise will set aside the bags for a few days before distribution
Watch for a Sign Up Genius e-mail to participate. If you have any questions contact Debbie Chen at email@example.com.
