About The Event
Sometimes, All We Can Do is Pray , isn’t that right? The idea for this group came when the rioters were storming the Capitol Building. Our church didn’t have a structure set up to ask for prayer when many of us were feeling helpless to create positive change. Yes, many of us were praying on our own in our homes. In Matthew 18:20, it says, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” (NIV) This group can provide that small gathering when we are at a loss and feel praying with others can bring comfort. This group is for anyone who would like to sustain prayerful support of others and need not be affiliated with Trinity Presbyterian Church or live locally. Feel free to share on social media to include anyone interested in a virtual group such as this. This small group will begin on Thursday, April 8 at 7:00 pm on Zoom , continuing each Thursday until we determine we are able to share prayer requests via group email or text and continue our work on our own, perhaps touching base on a monthly basis. The purpose of the group will be to actively keep items of concern in prayer. The members will be asked to share prayer concerns and look for ways to support our church members, community members, and others in the world at-large. We will explore spiritual practices in addition to prayer and their positive role in our lives. The scope of this group will be determined by its members and will likely evolve over time. Join us for the kick-off Zoom meeting on Thursday, April 8 at 7:00 pm (EDT) to see what the group is to become, regardless of whether you plan to continue in the future. We can make this group be what we need it to be for the health of our congregation, community, and world. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Diane Hoener dianesteinhoener@gmail.com We hope you will join us.
