Confirmation
Seventh grade youth and older are invited to begin confirmation. This is a time in which they intentionally explore their faith in order to discern their place within the community of faith and to affirm the vows taken by their parents on their behalf at their baptism. The program covers topics like the sacraments, grace, and reconciliation and offers opportunities to serve the church. At the course’s conclusion, confirmands will write a statement of faith and take part in a Service of Confirmation. Once confirmed, youth are considered adult members of the church. This does not mark the end of their spiritual formation or service to others, but rather is just the beginning.
