Other Ongoing Mission Projects

Elijah’s Promise Soup Kitchen: Trinity has been volunteering at Elijah’s Promise Soup each second Wed. of the month for over 10 years, helping to prepare and serve food to ~150 individuals.  Trinity also provides financial assistance to Elijah’s Promise. Volunteers can either carpool from the church parking lot (we leave at 4:30 pm) or meet at Elijah’s Promise (18 Neilson Street, New Brunswick).

Women Aware
:  Over the years, Trinity has supported the moms and children living in the Women Aware Safe House, by purchasing toys, clothing, food and school supplies.  More recently, the commission has sponsored domestic violence awareness events.

Food Drives
: Did you know that Trinity maintains a food pantry?  Located in the far-right corner of Upper Kern Hall, non-perishable food can be added to the Pantry at anytime.  We also run periodic food drives to help fill community food banks.  It is important to note that while the pantry serves those in the greater community that may come to the church for assistance, it is also here for anyone at Trinity.  So, if you find yourselves in need of a little help during these stressful times, please help yourself.

Hire Attire Boutique & Men’s Store Program
: The Adult Learning Center (New Brunswick Public Schools) helps adults acquire high school diplomas, learn English, or improve job skills to advance their careers.  As part of the program, Hire Attire then collects clothing and accessories to help these individuals enter or reenter the work force. They seek new and gently used business and business casual garments: suits, slacks, blazers, coats, dresses, sweaters, purses, ties, shoes, and other accessories. To make a donation, please label your donations “Hire Attire” and place them in the coatroom at the main church entrance. Volunteers deliver the clothes to the collection center once a month!
