The Interpretation and Stewardship Commission is pleased to provide you more convenient options to send your financial contributions, fulfill your pledges or make other gifts to Trinity. In addition to keeping the time-honored tradition of dropping envelopes in offering plates during worship on Sundays, we now have several paperless options and a special reusable pew card to dedicate such gifts.
The first is an Online Giving Program through the Presbyterian Foundation. The program offers the convenience of making secure online contributions electronically via direct transfers from your bank account or with your debit or credit card. You can arrange to make one-time gifts or send donations weekly, monthly, every three months or annually. And you can send money to the Current Expense Fund or the Deacons Fund. Changes to the frequency or the amount of your contributions can be made easily.
Members giving online will receive a confirmation email from the Presbyterian Foundation, not Trinity. You may also request a login and password from the Foundation to access your donor record and thereby have the capacity to print an annual giving statement at your discretion. Trinity receives the money from the Foundation within 48 hours. The Foundation will deduct a 1% administrative fee for each donation debited from your bank account to cover operating costs. A 1% fee will also be deducted by the Foundation for each donation via a credit or debit card, along with an approximately 3% deduction by the card processing vendor. https://presbyterianmissionexchange.org/Givers
If you are already using online bill pay with your local bank, you can set Trinity up as a payee for a one-time or a recurring gift. The church will receive a paper check in the mail. Typically, there is not a fee associated with this. This option will also reduce the need for paper offering envelopes.
The Online Giving Program will also help Trinity meet its pledge to be an environmentally responsible congregation. As you may recall, Trinity was the first church to be certified as a “GreenFaith Sanctuary” by GreenFaith. As we limit the amount of paper used for cash, checks and offering envelopes, we will further help protect our environment.
Your full donation, which includes any deductions, is tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. Please consult with a professional tax advisor for details regarding the tax deductibility of your donation.
If you are 70.5 years of age or older and have a traditional IRA, you may find it advantageous to fulfill your pledge as a Qualified Minimum Distribution from your IRA sent in whole or in part up to $100,000. Contact you plan administrator to direct your gift to Trinity.
